Identity, Power and Privilege

This session will explained the role of power dynamics in everyday interactions. Through the lens of intersectionality, it examined systems and structures of power and how they are connecting to our identity. It also examined the role of power dynamics in the workplace and what policies, procedures or programs could be implemented to shift the work culture.

Mastering Soft Skills: Conflict Management

The Conflict Management workshop Focused on conflict prevention as well as conflic resolution. Tips, strategies and techniques for both were presented, discussed and practiced. Through a few creative activities participants learned how to improve and manage relationships.
 

Take the Lead: Principles for Administrative Leadership in the Arts

This two day series, presented in partnership by Young Associates and WorkInCulture, provided aspiring and emerging leaders and/or mid-senior level staff working in the cultural sector with foundational tips and practical exercises that can be applied to day-to-day tasks. It was geared towards those who want to be an effective manager, director, or even board member of an arts organization, looking to get an in depth understanding of how financial literacy and HR management are linked.

The Art of Customer Service for Arts Administrators

This 3-part workshop series geared towards arts administrators, explored how and why good relationships are vital: professionally, personally and financially. Each facilitator used a variety of artistic and traditional methods to deliver the workshop and participants engaged in hands-on activities.
