Ambition Performing Arts
Ambition is a multi-genre performing arts studio, based in Acton, and serving all of Halton Hills. We teach all styles of dance, as well as stage acting, screen acting, musical theatre and vocals.

Job Description

Ambition Performing Arts Centre is seeking a qualified Acting instructor capable of teaching a variety of styles to children between the ages of 8 and 17.

We are a young training facility in the performing arts that offers classes in dance, acting, singing and musical theatre to children and adults alike.

We are currently trying to fill our teaching positions for our 2019-20 Fall season with 5 hours available on Wednesday evenings from Sepetember 16 to June 13.

Classes will include Stage Acting, Comedy and Screen Acting. Selected candidates will be expected to create weekly lesson plans to navigate students through the foundations and technique of acting for the stage, the screen and comedy. Successful candidates will create two performance pieces throughout the year to be performed in January and Late May.

Experience in a teaching setting or with children is preferred but not necessary. Experience with filming/editing is an asset. Post-secondary education in the arts is an asset.

Successful candidates will be asked to provide a current (within 5 years) police check and may be asked to produce a first aid training certificate.

We are willing to nurture and teach the right candidate to improve their skill set.
