We are currently hiring for the position of: 

Retail Sales Associate 

Retail Sales Associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service in the TIFF Shop to drive sales and perform merchandising duties to ensure the shop is maintained and inventory is organized.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and engage with customers to meet their needs and drive sales
  • Participate in merchandise handling, receiving and pricing
  • Organize all merchandise on display and in overstock storage areas
  • Perform accurate transactions on POS system
  • Open and close POS and cash float and calculate daily deposit for the Finance department
  • Utilize POS database to complete purchasing and receiving paperwork for the Finance department
  • Review Shopify account, process online transactions, package and mail out products
  • Communicate with customers through email and phone calls to provide information and support
  • Set up and tear down of promotional displays and pop up shop(s)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including dusting and cleaning of merchandise, shelves and floor sweep
  • Remove the garbage and cardboard boxes to the garbage room in the loading dock
  • Conducting annual inventory count and random spot checks throughout the year
  • Remain knowledgeable about services and programming available at the TIFF Bell Lightbox


Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in retail/customer service position.
  • High school diploma.
  • Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work throughout Festival from September 10-20, 2020
  • Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours
  • Must be able to lift 10lbs
  • Fluency in a second language (Mandarin/Cantonese an asset)
