The position’s incumbent will be responsible for planning and coordinating the material, financial, labour and transportation needs for the smooth operations of the rental projects. He is accountable for the quality of the delivered project.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Receive the requests from the representatives and help them analyse the client’s need;
  • Validate solutions proposed by the representatives and technical teams;
  • Visit the premises of the event in order to validate the technique’s feasibility (survey);
  • Ensure the installation complies with the client’s expectations and with his technical and physical environment;
  • Prepare the list of material and labour required for the projects’ completion;
  • Prepare a schedule for the execution of the projects’ different phases: develops the work plan, the budget, the allocation of labour, the calendar and the deliveries’ estimate;
  • Coordinate the changes' requests with the client and Project Manager;
  • Act as Solotech’s representative on the event’s premises and coordinate the site preparation and monitor all project’s steps in order to execute them according to the foreseen delay;
  • Monitor the quality of work executed according to Solotech’s standards;
  • Act as a contact person for the client regarding all his questions, comments or changes related to the project and work closely with internal and external people in order to give a high-level customer service;
  • Ensure health and safety on the sites via training and prevention;
  • Execute all other related tasks necessary to fulfill this position.


Requirements:

  • University or college degree in Project Management or in audiovisual or within a relevant field;
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Have a technical expertise in the audiovisual sector;
  • Thorough technical knowledge of the audiovisual sector (audio, lighting, rigging and video);
  • Master R2 and Skecth Up software (an asset);
  • Basic knowledge of Autocad software;
  • Master of Microsoft Office;
  • Able to travel frequently to go to clients and events’ premises;
  • Able to work according to a variable schedule;
  • Availability during the days, evenings and weekends and statutory holidays depending on the ongoing project;
  • Strong capacity to work with schedules and manage stress;
  • Good analysis skills;
  • Show thoroughness and attention to detail;
  • Act with diplomacy;
  • Highly developed organizational skills;
