Programs feature professional, emerging and community artists and enthusiasts in music festivals, concert series and educational programming for all ages. Our year-round programs attract over 10,000 patrons from the Trent Hills area and beyond. Our focus is on building community vibrancy and joy through the participation and appreciation of music.

Job Description

Join the Westben team in bringing people together through music in nature!

Westben seeks to hire a full time Marketing Social Media Coordinator to increase customer engagement through digital means. Reporting to the Co-Founder & Marketing Director, they have the following responsibilities:  

1.  Strategy – Assist with the research, development, design & implementation of all marketing strategies          and systems. 

2.  Digital Systems (websites and social media) – Manage, maintain and operate all digital systems                  including: 

    a.  Websites – design and update content on both Westben websites. 
    b.  Social Media – manage and operate social media outlets, including content creation including event           and merchandise photography, photo and video editing, copywriting etc. 
    c.  E-newsletters – content, design & dissemination 
    d.  Design digital Audience Program  

3.  Digital Content Development – Research, design, create and disseminate digital content as required  

4.  Digital Marketing – design, create and execute schedule of all digital marketing dissemination  

5.  Digital Advertising – work with team on building and executing online advertising  

6.  Engage with the online community by communicating with social media followers via direct messages,       responding to comments/retweets in a timely manner. 

7. Regular digital marketing analytics reporting; with plans and steps for improvement 

8. Consistently stay up to date and report best practices and emerging trends in social media and              marketing; apply findings to ongoing campaigns as well as artist and company accounts 

9.  Design with the team in-house print marketing as required. 

10. Other duties as assigned 

11.  Adhere to Westben's policies and code of conduct. 

12.  Participate in mandatory staff, committee, and developmental meetings. 


We are looking for a candidate who has:   

  • Marketing and Communications training and experience,  
  • Great communication skills, works well independently and with a team. 
  • Maintains a high standard of professionalism,  
  • The ability to troubleshoot, think critically and make informed decisions.  
  • Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize well and meet strict deadlines.  
  • Experience with the public and a passion for an arts, culture or tourism.  
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design and photography skills.   
  • Ability to learn new software applications. 

Additional Info:

Due to the nature of the position, along with Westben’s changing requirements over the course of its yearly activities, the Associate is expected to maintain a flexible “remote/in-person” schedule. This schedule will be determined collaboratively and in advance wherever possible.
