Busy custom framing company looking for experiences finisher. 

Company profile:

The Gilder has been providing a top quality custom framing service to artists, collectors, art galleries and museums in Canada for over 20 years. We specialize in producing hardwood frames in variety of finishes, stained, painted and water gilded, and are experienced in conservation framing.

We are looking for a talented individual interested in art and in framing. 

Experience in working with solid wood. Proficient with table saw, shaper, joiner/thicknesser, router and other basic tools. 
Tasks include cutting and joining frames, milling custom mouldings, selecting appropriate grade of lumber, sanding. 
Experience spraying waterbourne finishes such as pigmented lacquer and clear coat.
-Sanding and applying stains.

3 years of finishing experience is preferred 
This is a full-time position
 

Requirements:

-Attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, problem solving skills. 
-Ability to work independently with good organizational skill, as well as part of a small team
-Help to maintain a clean shop environment
-Good knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade
