WHAT IS THE GERM PROGRAM:

The Growing Earned Revenue Mentoring Program is a pilot project that was launched in May 2017 to match 20 arts and heritage organizations across Ontario with a professional experienced in identifying and expanding earned revenue opportunities.

The GERM helped to connect experts with professionals looking for mentorship on a range of earned revenue topics, such as membership, audience growth, space rentals, and product development. The mentoring period for our first cohurt ran from June 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018.

GERM INTERVIEWS:

Since the program concluded we interviewed our participants to learn about their experience. During our closing event we had a quick chat with a few GERM folks, Stephanie Draker, Program Manager and Diane Davy, Executive Director.

We also selected three groups from the cohort to get more detailed account of their mentoring process. Each group provided some great advice for mentors and individuals looking to be mentored. Watch our videos.
