Job Description

Position: Become an Volunteer Festival Ambassadors for a chance to win free tickets

In celebration of it’s 13th edition, Toronto’s Francophone Film festival Cinefranco film will be featuring eight exceptional francophone films about heroism and youth at the Yonge/Dundas AMC, as part of our jeune/ youth cinema program (http://www.cinefranco.com/horaires.asp)


We want to reach out to as many youth- high school, university students and the public at large- as we can.

To do this we are looking for Online Festival Ambassador Volunteers, who will help us promote the films online. If you are an active on Facebook (200+ friends) and/ or Twitter, creative and passionate about Cinema and French/Quebec/Francophone culture and/or social media marketing, this opportunity is for you.

The Festival Ambassadors will:

- Refer fans to our facebook fan page CINEFRANCO: INTERNATIONAL FRANCOPHONE FILM FESTIVAL
- Promote Jeune /Youth cinema program, on March 6-7 weekend by writing about on their Facebook status or tweeting about the Jeune Youth Cinema festival (follow us on twitter http://www.twitter.com/Cinefranco).

To become a Festival Ambassador join the Cinefranco Festival Ambassador Group on Facebook now.

All Successful Ambassadors will be

- Entered into Contest:
Top 50 Festival Ambassadors who refer the most fans to the Festival Fan Page will be awarded one Pass for two free tickets to any of the films of Jeune/Youth Cinema Program on the weekend of March 6-7.
- Receive a letter of recommendation from the Festival Director, Marcelle Lean

Requirements

- Active Facebook user (with more than 200+ friends)
- Blogger (preferably)
- Active Social Media Marketing

Cinéfranco goals:
To celebrate and promote the diversity and richness of French language cinema as an opportunity for Francophones, Francophiles and film lovers:

* To enjoy films rarely seen or not distributed in Toronto cinemas
* To give a voice and an identity to the Francophone communities in Toronto, in Ontario and outside the borders of Quebec
* To foster tolerance through the discovery and understanding of other cultures and civilizations
* To enable students of the French language to listen to, practice and enjoy the language in a resonant cultural milieu
* To enable the fragmented Francophone communities to mingle and interface
* To enrich the filmic culture in Toronto and Ontario
* To foster and develop a taste for French language cinema in order
* To demand a stronger commercial presence and distribution of French language cinema
* To further and promote friendship, cultural exchanges between the provinces of Ontario and Quebec
* To enhance the international profile of Toronto in Canada and in the worldwide film community.
