Job Description
We are casting for 2 black male actors in their 20s for a new play about the first elected prime minister of the Congo, Patrice Lumumba.
Two parts are:
LUMUMBA – Congo’s 1st Prime Minister, idealistic not realistic.
MOBUTU – the friend who takes the proverbial “thirty pieces”!
Additional Information
There will be one read-through/table session before the holidays and rehearsals will run from January 4 - 20th with performances January 21 - 23.

Sponsored by the Graduate Centre for Study of Drama, F.O.O.T is a student organized conference/arts festival which seeks to bring together Academia and the arts in a spirit of cross-disciplinary exchange and exploration. In its effort to investigate relationships between theory, criticism, and practice, F.O.O.T. is especially concerned with existing and potential relationships between the various artistic communities. This event has incorporated conference papers, theatre, film, dance, visual, and performance art in past years.
