Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic co-op / intern student to join the Art Toronto and Artist Project teams!


This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on events experience managing projects and participating in the preparing and execution of the city's only international art fair in October and the upcoming 12th edition of Artist Project. Reporting to Exhibitor and Sponsor Relations, you will work with all members of the team to aid in the success of these events.

  • Involvement in team event meetings
  • Aiding in aspects of Art Toronto and Artist Project administration
  • Customer Service & database management
  • Assist with managing the production of the Artist Project 2019 jury presentation
  • Responding to general enquiries about the show by phone and e-mail
  • Assist with marketing duties, including social media
  • Research Projects
  • Other events projects as they arise

This internship is 2-3 days a week over 12 weeks starting in September with all time onsite at Art Toronto paid and an hobourarium at the conclusion.



Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a recognized co-op/intern program or as part of completion of a degree
  • Planning, organization and time management skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independantly on projects
  • Problem solving skills
  • Office and computer skills
  • Enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude
  • A desire to train in event management
  • Interest in the Art Market
