Job Description

Reporting directly to the department’s Supervisor, the technician must prepare and test equipment to be used on rentals and productions.

Main responsibilities :
  • With the cooperation of the Shop Technicians and according to the Event order accurately prepare the equipment;
  • Ensure all required accessories to operate the equipment are included (wiring, adapters, PSUs, hardware, remote control etc.);
  • Perform tests in order to make sure the equipment works well;
  • Clean and conduct a visual inspection of the equipment;
  • Upgrade the items (cleaning, firmware);
  • Follow the quality and preparation standards of the company;
  • All other related tasks.


Position requirements:
  • Diploma/Certificate or relevant work experience;
  • Experience in testing and operating audio equipment;
  • Sound treatment and design experience is an asset;
  • RF knowledge is an asset;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and able to manage priorities;
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change;
  • Team work oriented and collaborative;
  • Resourcefulness and autonomy;
  • Able to lift heavy loads;
  • Show flexibility in working schedule;
  • Valid forklift driver’s licence (an asset);
  • Bilingual; French/English (an asset);
  • Highly developed organisation skills and attention to detail;
  • Positive attitude.
