Role Expectations:

As a Sales and Event Representative, you will sell our location space and corporate experiences for diverse events to corporations, the conference/tourism industry, the film industry, and private groups. 
Coordinating all aspects of on-site events, you will be responsible for:
• developing plans and activities to attract new clients and markets
• contributing to the achievement of established attendance, sales, and revenue targets
• selling facility rental enhancements (team-building programs, OMNIMAX films, etc.)
• fostering relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including internal and external clients, partners, and sponsors

Working with the Manager, Adult and Corporate Learning Experiences, you will implement marketing strategies, sales techniques, communications and promotional plans to creatively promote OSC Facility Rentals and Corporate Experiences. 
This position will work on a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional weekends/evenings work and includes travel within the GTA for networking opportunities.

Sales Ability
• Proven knowledge and experience with sales, and theories to develop and implement strategies to close deals, thus maximizing revenue generating opportunities.
• Ability to develop business plans and objectives and translate those into viable sales strategies and tactics.
• Ability to connect with variety of audiences, as well as planning and hosting large complex events while focusing on sales as the end results.
• Ability to identify business metrics to aid in selling, build rationale, design campaigns and measure results.
• Demonstrated presentation skills for small and large audiences in both formal and informal settings.
• Ability to develop new lines of business, and negotiate contracts with corporate, social and industry clients and suppliers.

Communication & Relationship Management Skills
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with a diverse range of internal and external contacts and to make sales presentations.
• Ability to cooperate, negotiate and work effectively with diplomacy and political acuity in large, complex organizations, with various levels of management/non-management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship building skills to serve, assist and negotiate with a variety of client groups, internal and external suppliers, sponsorship partners, program providers, etc.

Marketing Skills and Event Knowledge
• Extensive meeting and event planning experience with knowledge of conference facility booking methods.
• Experience negotiating and administering contracts; project management experience and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of hospitality trends, food and beverage operations, customer service principles, sales and marketing strategies.
• Evaluation and research skills to analyze facility rental programs and industry standards/benchmarks, evaluate competitive market and develop innovative opportunities. 
• Initiative and promotional skills to identify new business markets, and determine methods to convert them from prospective to actual clients.

Technical and Administrative Skills
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use a variety of software to manage office operations and to develop and produce presentations, reports, spreadsheets, web and electronic marketing materials, mass e-mail management etc. Knowledge of relevant privacy and accessibility legislation.
• Excellent time management/organizational/multitasking skills with the ability to work independently in a team environment.
• Ability to manage accounts, including reconciliation and receivables.

Salary Range: $1,225.36 - $1,447.55 per week
