Position Type: Full-Time, 6-months fixed term contract

OVERVIEW/PURPOSE
Artscape is currently seeking a Recruiter to join our Human Resources and Organizational Development department.
The recruiter will be responsible developing and implementing recruitment plans and processes for Artscape Daniels Launchpad. This includes, recruitment cycle planning, candidate screening, interviewing and conducting background/ reference checks.  The Recruiter will also assist with drafting employment contracts and following up with hired candidates for successful onboarding.
Reporting to Director, Human Resources & Organizational Development, the recruiter also work closely with Managing Director of Artscape Daniels Launchpad.
The position is ideal for candidates who have experienced full cycle recruitment processes and have a keen eye reviewing resumes and conducting interviews and making selection recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements a robust recruitment strategy in alignment with Artscape Recruitment policy and Recruitment Manual guidelines; post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc within approved budget targets and timelines
Educates internal and external stakeholders (and the public) on Artscape  organizational structure, Human Resources Policy Manual and Recruitment Manual, and Strategic Plan 5.0; acts as a brand champion for Artscape and Artscape Daniels Launchpad when sourcing candidates for vacancies
Prepares and distributes recruitment materials to stakeholders complete with the Artscape brand
Maintains recruitment dashboard and metrics
Screens candidates’ applications using selection tools/methods to filter qualified candidate submissions
Schedules and/or conducts interviews
Communicates and answers questions throughout the full recruitment cycle regarding Artscape total rewards
Completes timely reports on employment activity
Requests and conducts reference and background checks and makes recommendations for hiring top candidates to the hiring manager
Coordinates interviews with the hiring managers of vacant positions and ADL support staff
Manages all vacancies and follows up on the interview process status for each candidate in the recruitment cycle
Completes timely reports on employment activity
Plans and leads career fair(s) liaises with marketing & communication department for marketing and advertising
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Experience:
Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
Minimum 3 years of recruitment experience
Ability to conduct different types of interviews, preferably involving mass recruitment campaigns
Advanced experience in Microsoft Office
Experience in project management is an asset
Possess solid knowledge of applicable employment legislation
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and resolve conflict when necessary
Professional appearance and demeanor and a positive and proactive attitude
Demonstrated flexibility, dependability and a high level of team and service orientation
Travel to other locations in the GTA when necessary
