Job Description

Position Summary:
The School of Communications, Media, Arts & Design at Centennial College’s Story Arts Centre is seeking part-time faculty for our new 1-year graduate certificate program, Arts Education & Community Engagement.
  • In May-August 2018, successful candidates will participate in the development of new curriculum for this original post-graduate program.
    • Curriculum development: approx. 30 hrs per course
  • In the Fall 2018 semester, the candidate will teach as a member of the program faculty.
    • Teaching contact hours: 2-6 hrs/wk in Fall 2018 or Winter 2019 semester


  • Degree/Diploma in related field OR equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Min. 2 years of post-secondary teaching practice OR devising and delivering training for artist educators
  • Min. 5 years of practical experience in community-engaged creative arts
  • Demonstrated capacity to support the training and development of a multi-disciplinary cohort of emerging arts professionals
  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion to meet the needs of our diverse students, staff and college community
  • Expertise leading creative arts programming with specific communities or demographics is an asset
