Project Management for Arts & Culture

WorkInCulture is partnering with Artscape Launchpad to deliver a 3-part series of professional development workshops. These workshops are tailored for creative professionals, artists, and arts administrators working in all disciplines and seeking the tools to propel their personal and professional goals.

Join us on January 25, 2017 from 6pm - 9pm for Project Management for Arts & Culture.

Artists and creative professionals live and thrive in a world of projects. Projects can be large or small, last from weeks or years, and involve a multitude of people. Whatever the project – whether you’re preparing a grant, staging a performance, planning an exhibition, scheduling renovations, or developing a resource – efficient project management can have a big impact on your bottom line. Presenter Inga Untiks will explore how applying project management techniques can benefit you and provide hands-on activities to help you break down projects into manageable tasks.

You’ll walk away knowing:

  • The fundamentals of managing any project, including: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing;
  • How to apply project management best practices, taken from case study examples from the arts and cultural community;
  • Other arts administrators, with whom you can build a supportive community that shares your challenges.

Presented by: Inga Untiks, Instructor, Arts Administration and Cultural Management Program, Humber College School of Creative & Performing Arts.
